FAQ
Q. Why do I need a personal trainer?
A. Oh, man…I could talk all day about this! In a nutshell, a trainer brings her knowledge and expertise to YOUR needs instead of you having to walk into a gym and figure out how to make it all work for yourself, by yourself. She provides guidance, motivation, and inspiration as she creates a customized program designed around your unique goals and current health. And never underestimate the power of an enthusiastic accountability partner who will compassionately hold you to your goals and commitments to your health and wellness- it’s a game changer!
Q. Why should I workout?
A. Seriously? I’m guessing you actually already know the answer to this, but I can’t resist the chance to get on my soapbox (and you asked, so don’t blame me!). So. Here’s the big one: you live in your body every single day and if you take care of it, it will continue to do all the fun things you ask of it. It will keep up with your life and family. When you work out regularly, you feel good- strong, flexible, and full of energy. Would you like to stay healthy and happy as you age? Have a healthy blood pressure, sleep well, and minimize anxiety? Then you should work out. It’s good for your bones, muscles, brain function, and memory. It helps keep your skin healthy. Why shouldn’t you workout? Or maybe the better question is, why wouldn’t you? (Especially when I make it so much fun!)
Q. What if I’ve never worked out before?
A. No worries, mate! I’m so excited that you are ready to start and can’t wait to be a part of it! We were aaaallll beginners at some point (if you haven’t read my “about” page, head on over…I remember those beginner days well!). Start now and in three months you’ll thank yourself for having started because you’ll already see some big results (but only if you actually begin now!). I am a stickler for form and alignment and will walk you through every movement so that you can feel confident and capable and safe- always. I’ve got your back!
Q. Am I too old to work out?
A. Ummmm, are you dead yet? If your answer was no, then so is mine. You are never too old to start getting stronger and healthier, never. It’s that simple. I can create a program for you that is built around wherever you are right now. We’ll use what you have to do what you can as I develop an evolving program designed to get you healthier and stronger one day at a time.
Q. What if I have an injury and don’t feel well? Can I still work out?
A. Dude, I can work with you through just about anything. As long as you don’t have a fever, you can still work out. I design each session to meet you and your goals where you are that day. Life happens. We’re going to show up tired, sick, or injured at some point. My job is to keep you moving in a safe an effective way and, man, I can get seriously creative with it. Keep your appointment. We’ll work through whatever is going on together.
